Onboarding
I designed the onboarding flow to use concise language and colorful imagery to convey a simple value prop. Instead of explaining the mechanics of how it works, I focused on the desired feeling we wanted to achieve by using our app.
Onboarding
People can import their listening history from their prefered podcast listening app like Pocket Cast and Overcast. Alternatively, they can fill out a simple three-step onboarding that specifies podcast length, type, and genre.
Core UX
Each mixtape is represented as a cassette. Browse your mixtapes by horizontally scrolling and reading the Editor’s Notes. Insert the cassette into the player and reveal the podcast episodes that make it. Tap the podcast episode icon in the bottom right to see more information about the currently playing episode. Eject the cassette by tapping the icon in the bottom left to choose a new mixtape.
